Hologram Hair Serum

After a 'Hair relax' I love to put on some Hologram Hair Serum by Etude House on my hair. It is gentle on the hair, it protects my hair from damage and keeps it smooth and easy to manage.

A 120 ml bottle of Hologram Hair Serum costs $8.12, very affordable isn't it? ^^

Oriental Scalp Tonic

Do you want to prevent hair loss in a natural way? Or do you want to grow healthy hair? If your answer to these two questions is 'yes' then I recommend Oriental Scalp Tonic.

Oriental Scalp Tonic is for hair loss prevention and hair growth. It has a spicy smell, you spray it onto your scalp and then massage it in. The problem with this hair tonic is that it feels slightly sticky after application and it makes the hair look greasy. So I suggest you only use this before showering.

Hair Highlights

Beautiful Hair Highlights At Home

Highlights consist of selecting small or thick strands of hair that are then lightened at least 2 shades lighter than the rest of your hair. Highlights should compliment your natural or artificial color. You should never go more than 3 shades lighter then the rest of your hair color. The object of highlighting is to give you a sun-kissed look and to bring depth and light to your overall color.

So if you want to achieve salon perfect results at home when you highlight your hair, here's what the pros say:
  • Use a clarifying shampoo on your hair at least two days before coloring.
  • Never shampoo the day you color. Haute hair
  • Check the expiration date on the package. And once you mix the color, use it right away!
  • Toss out the brush that comes in the box and buy flat 1/2 and 1/4 inch acrylic brushes. These brushes, used by artists, are available at art supply stores (they'll give you better control and more natural-looking results)
  • Make sure you have on hand a pair of good, tight-fitting latex gloves (the ones that come in the package don't always fit well).
  • Start from the back of your head and work forward. By working from back to front, you won't smear the pieces in front by having to reach over them to do the back.
  • Apply the highlights only to the top layers of your hair. By leaving the hair underneath alone, you'll create depth and a sun-kissed look that looks completely natural

Hair Extensions Care

Here are a few tips:

Washing: Keep your hair clean. Hair tangles when dirt and sweat build up, wash your hair after exercise, swimming etc. Brush your hair and remove all tangles before washing it. Wash your hair going in a downward motion. Use a good quality shampoo, your stylist can advise you what product is best for your hair. When lots of water is added at once to very dry hair, hair can swell up and tangle. Gradually wet the hair and brush gently before you completely wash it. This is more common with less expensive extension hair.

Styling: When brushing use a soft bristle brush, start at the ends of your hair and gently work your way up. Always brush in a downward motion. Do not brush harshly. Brush your hair 2 or 3 times a day. Heat is your one of your hair's biggest enemy, the more you use it, the shorter your hair extensions will last. Be careful with the use of blowdryers and curling irons. It is best to let your hair dry naturally.

Exercise: Wear a cap when swimming or keep your hair out of the water. Chlorine and salt water can cause the hair to tangle and mat up. It is recommended to wear your hair up or in a ponytail when you swim or exercise

Sleeping: Never sleep on wet hair, make sure your hair is completely dry before you go to bed. It is also recommended to wrap your hair together or gently tie it up to prevent tangling.

Hair care products: Use a good (leave-in) conditioner to keep your hair soft. Don't over do it. To much conditioner or any other hair care product can cause a build up and tangling. Avoid hair products that contain alcohol. Alcohol makes hair dry. Ask your stylist what would be the best products for your hair.

Hair treatments: Don't perm, color or any other chemical process to your own hair extensions. Let your stylist take care of that.
In general it is better not to brush synthetic hair and keep this hair away from all sources of excessive heat.

How to do Korean Hairstyles

There are two basic Korean hairstyles long with sideswept bangs and a short pixie cut. Korean stars such as Yoon Eun Hye prefer a textured pixie cut because it's pretty low-maintenance, but still feminine. Other actresses such as Choi Ji-woo prefer longer styles. Bangs are common for both men and women. Korean men typically keep the back of their hair short while the front is accentuated by long, layered bangs.

Things You'll Need:
  • Straightening iron
  • Pomade
  • Hairspray

    Long Style

  1. Step 1
Cut long bangs that fall about an inch lower than your eyeline, and sweep them over to the left or right side of your face.
  2. Step 2
Use the straightening iron to straighten hair  if it's curly or wavy. Try to get hair as straight as possible. Korean hair is naturally straight and sleek.
  3. Step 3
Tease your crown slightly to give hair some body. Straight hair has a tendency to fall flat.
  4. Step 4
Rub some pomade into bangs and the tips of hair to create a piecey texture. Most Korean hairstyles are texturized in this way to give the style more personality.
  5. Step 5
Use some hairspray to lock in the style.
  6. Pixie Cut

  7. Step 1
Get a short pixie cut. Ask the stylist to add a few layers for volume.
  8. Step 2
Part your hair slightly to the left or right. Sweep your bangs in the direction of your part. For example, if your part is slightly to the right, brush your bangs in that direction.
  9. Step 3
Separate strands with pomade to get that piecey look, with a few strands positioned about half a centimeter away from each other.
  10. Step 4
Spray lightly with hairspray to keep the style in place.
