She’s always been among the first on television to showcase new trends and Fearne Cotton didn’t disappoint at the Brits with a beautiful braid straight off the catwalks for spring/summer 2010.
Alexander McQueen, Giambattista Valli, Margaret Howell, DSquared, Alexander Wang and Miu Miu all used braids in their shows.
Our favourites were at Valli, with superstar session stylist Orlando Pita going for loose French pleats and at Miu Miu where Rapunzel-long braids draped over one shoulder - simulataneously working the asymmetric look, too.
Fearne wore a false braid which beautifully mixed two colours of hair – you can buy clip-on pony tails or hair extensions at most department stores or at Topshop – wound into her own hair at the back.
